QuestionHi, I have a 12 gallon Eclipse Bio-Wheel tank set up, that is well planted with java moss, java moss, anubias on drift wood and a few other small plants. My occupants include 3 lemon tetras, 2 red-eye tetra, 1 black skirt, 2 bolivian rams, 2 high fin blue rams, and 1 Krebenis Cichlid. Latley I have noticed the Krebenis (Fairly new to the tank) has been picky with the female blue ram in perticular and has taken a few nips out of her fins. Is there anything I can to to lessen the hostility of the tank and the tank mates? They all seem to be fighting now? Is this Just a phase?
AnswerHi Derek,
Unfortunately it is not likely just a phase, rather it is quite normal for those fishes. Cichlids are territorial so they are going to fight. Hopefully it will be just a little.
The good news is that fins grow back quickly and easily.
