Male Baby Betta

I was reading somewhere that it's not good to put a betta in an Eclipse tanks-- because the water is to powerful for them. I can't afford another tank for him right now. I guess my question is will he be ok? If not can you advise me what gallon I need for one male betta and the equipment besides the heater?. And I uses fish food made for bettas is that alright for now?    Thanks_Brandi

Bettas generally don't love flakes, but keep trying and see if he becomes used to it and the handfeeding. Those Eclipse tanks are indeed awkward, especially because of that center brace. For a 7 gallon tank, change a gallon of water twice a week.
