Moving Goldfish to larger tank

Question
We have two fan-tail goldfish (each about 3") that were in a 3 gallon tank. We just moved them to a 30 gallon tank one day ago. My question is about the fact that they seem to favor a particular corner of the new tank about the area of the 3 gallon tank both in height and width. Are they just used to their previous boundaries in the smaller tank? Have you seen this before?

Oh, I'm so glad they got a new tank! They will get used to it and swim around. I think you are right, they just don't know what their boundaries really are yet. They will also be in shock a bit too. They will get over it though.
