Betas and Platies

Question
Do I need to have a pump in my tank in order to put a platie in with my beta? Or are they like Betas and don't need one? Please help. Thank You In Advance.

Hey Dwan,

The betta really should have a filter, if it's in a tank larger then 1 gallon.

As for the Platy, they need to be kept in larger tanks (10 gallons+) and definately need filtration. Be sure you have room in your tank for a platy, and be sure the water temperature is around 76*f. If possible, get a pair of platy as well, they do best in small groups.
