Constipated Sevrum?

My gold sevrum started acting weird last night. He's hanging out at the bottom of the tank and kind of bouncing vertically. There's a small...thing....sticking out from where his poop comes out and it seems to be troubling him.  I feed him flake and dried shrimp (perhaps too much of the shrimp but he loves it so much!) so I think it's shrimp poop stuck in there. He still has an appetite although I'm not feeding him as much as usual in case this is constipation. Is there anything else I can do for him?

Feed him a diet of washed and shelled peas, and frozen daphnia for the next 2 or 3 days.

After that stop feeding him for another 3 or 4 days.

The resume to original diet, feeding washed and shelled peas weekly.

Do not over feed on the shrimp.
