Question
I have ~15 baby black mollies almost 2 weeks old and doing well. I can't keep all of them. What do I do with them? Will a pet shop take them for free? Should I put an ad in the paper giving them away? What do other people do?

Answer
Hi Maria;

Contact your local fish stores and see if they will take them. They may require them to be a certain minimum size and many stores will give you a small store credit in exchange. Keep in mind that they are worth more the bigger they get.

You could put an ad in the newspaper to give them away I guess. If you have children/siblings/nieces/nephews, etc., ask them if their friends want some. Be sure they have a proper aquarium setup first and absolutely don't let any child take fish without a parent's permission! Talk directly to a parent if you can.

Good luck!
