i hae 2 oscars and i can tell the difference but i googled it and it said the male would have dark spots on them and they don't but it does have larger and longer fins and is more aggressive but. i'm not sure why kind of oscarsthey are but they are maroon color so plz get back to me when u can thanks

Oscars are one of the cichlid types that don't have any obvious sexual differences. Each fish is individual too and they each have their own markings and colors but not because of sex. You have to wait until they actually spawn and watch them to know. The female will lay eggs and then the male will follow behind to fertilize them. Breeders can tell you which of their own stock is male or female, but that's because they witnessed them spawn. Sometimes you can see a rounder body on a female but oscars are such big eaters it's not a reliable indicator either. A fat male could look like a female with eggs. You could try asking your fish I guess, but they usually don't talk much. ;-)
