Male Beta not eating

Question
My 6 yr. old daughter has this beautiful male Beta fish.  A week ago he got very listless and stopped eating, I thought that his water may have gotten too cool, so, I moved him and changed his water and still nothing has changed.  Is there anything I can try to save this loved fish?
I changed his water this morning and he swam around for a little while, but he is now on the bottom of the vase sitting still, still breathing, but just sitting.
Help
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely Heidi J.

Answer
Hi Heidi;

Poor guy! Try to get his water even warmer if you can. Bettas need 75 to 80f all the time. If he starts eating again, that was probably it.

Also, do you know how old he is? Bettas lifespan is 2 to 3 years and they are about a year already when we buy them.

I hope he feels better soon.....
