fat betta/bulgy eyes

i have had my betta for about 6 mo.  about a week ago i noticed his stomach got very big, i tried fasting him and then feeding him a pea but nothing changed, today i noticed he got bulgy eyes, like they pop out a little.  please help me

Hello Dori-

How long did you fast him? Try again for at least a week, and then offer him some pea. During this period, add some aquarium salt to his tank, and try to get the temperature up near 80 F. Also, be sure you keep his water very clean (remember to use conditioner.)
