Pregnant Tiger Barbs

Question
I think my tiger barb is getting ready to lay eggs, but i got three breeds of cat fish & shrimp in with them. do i need to separate them so they dont eat the eggs

Hi Arthu,
  Barbs are egg scatterers and they do not protect the eggs so odds are that the catfish would get any eggs that were laid.  Separating the catfish might be a good idea.
