Alexandra,                                                   Is this a goldfish?Even if it isn't what you have is a swimbaldder infection. You need a broad spectrum antibiotic. Tetracycline. Treat him and remove the carbon from your filter. After the seven days new carbon and a 25% water change. If this is a goldfish.... you can squeeze a frozen pea between your fingers once a week to prevent this from happening again. Also, If it is a goldie..... get a veggie clip from your pet shop and give him an orange slice a couple times a week with the rind cut off half. Good Luck , Tina
