Question
First of all my male betta fish was in my brother's room and my brother had a female betta and we were breeding them. Then, till the babies knew how to swim (so the male had to keep them from falling) we needed to take out the male if not he will eat the babies. And so the bettas where on the desk top so mine was on a small bowl on top of the female's tank on the babies tank was next to the tanks. And I was watching tv I didn't know what happened my brother went to check on them he didn't see mine in the bowl. So he went to tell me he coudn't find my betta and then I went to his room to find mine and I didn't see it either. So we looked and we looked and we coudn't find mine then I looked next to the desk and there it was in the carpet. I thought it was dead then till my mom came she  got the fish and she noticed that it was alive and she quickly put in the bowl. And it looks like if it is standing. Is it going to survive?(My betta was bleeding)

Answer
Hi Stephanie,
It might survive.  Don't give up on it quite yet.  I have had fish do that and survive quite fine.  The fins might fall off, but surprisingly, they can grow back quite quickly.
