Goldfish & Vitamin C

Hi Chris!

I was reading an article that said some types of fish cannot manufacture their own vitamin C and end up with some spinal bone disease. Does this apply to goldfish?  

I often see slices of oranges in goldfish aquariums in pet stores and wonder if you know anything about this?

Hi Amber;

Most commercial goldfish foods have vitamin c in them already. Keep it out of the heat and buy a new can every 6 months at least. Never heard of feeding oranges to the fish. Interesting!
