cichlid compatiblity

Can african cichlids get along with plecos like a golden nugget or tiger pleco?

Hey Chirs,
Plecos whould do fine with africans. But if you see any sighns of the plecos picking on the africans them remove the pleco. But also if you have aggresive species the africans whould probaly either hurt or kill the pleco and if this happens then just net the pleco and put him in another tank around 10 gallons.
