Question
Hello Ron,
My husband and I have two dragon gobies.  One of which is definately carring babies.  I am wondering if they are egg laying fish or larvae laying fish.  I am upsizing tanks by 50 gal.  I want to know if I should leave the old tank up for babies.

Answer
Hi Leah,
I have never kept dragon gobies, but all gobies that I know of are egg layers, typically with male parental care. In other words, the female will lay the eggs in a cave and the male will guard and fan the eggs, often for 2 or 3 days depending on temperature.  Typically there is no parental care after the eggs have hatched.
