floating betta

Question
i just sent you a question about my betta, scooter.  he is floating and leaning at the top of the tank.  i read some of the old questions and your answers, so i gave scooter some green pea chunks.

by accident, i think that i might have given him too big of a chunk, though. it just fell in the tank.  he gulped it up, though.  do i feed him the same size chunks that i would his food?  you had said the size of his eye is enough for one day.

i have a light on the tank and the temp was always around 78 - 80.  i have put a heating pad under the tank to raise the heat.  i read that you said up to 85 is okay.

is there anything else i can do?

thanks!

Answer
Hi Tracy;

Just whatever size he usually eats of his regular food is okay. The good news is he likes it! If his water is 78 to 80 degrees, that's good. It can be raised up to 85 if he is not getting any better though.
