please help my baby trimac cichlid

I am having a very strange problem with my baby trimac cichlid.He was fine when i bought him.But now he is always gasping for air at the top of the tank.I made an 80% water change twice.the water now is crystal clear and is very well aerated.But he is still gasping for air.He sometimes makes small jumps out of the water.Even tried adding a few drops of chlorine remover but to no use.really really need your help sir.Please help

Hi Naveen,
 Is there chlorine in your water?  If so, that will easily kill him.  You have to add the chlorine remover to the water BEFORE you put it in the tank, otherwise the chlorine hits the fish first and it doesn't take much to burn a fish's gills (which would explain why he is gasping).
