QuestionI am starting a new cichlid tank, and was wondering if it were safe if I used sedimentary rocks for my tank?
AnswerHi Chris,
In general the answer to that is "no" because sedimentary rocks will break down over time. However, if you have a large tank (e.g., 80 gallons or something like that) it might work because the volume of water would help dilute the dissolved minerals. Still, it is a gamble.
