what do betta fish eat?

I have a blue male betta named carl it is in perfect condition (i hope) and lives in a 2 gallon tank. i need to know what he eats like i know he eats pellets and brine shrimp but what other living or dead things can he eat?

Your best bet is to feed your Betta pellets and only giving him treats like freeze dried bloodworms or brine shrimp as a treat, maybe once a week and in very small amounts. Too much food will cause your Betta to become constipated. Remember, your Betta's finger is only as big as his eye.
