Is my snake sick?

My snake has blue foggy eyes and I read that when his eyes are blue like that it means he's getting ready to shed his skin.  I tried to pick him up and get him to move around but he won't.  Does this always happen to ball python snakes when there getting ready to shed?

Hi Amy,

All snakes eyes will go blue and cloudy when theyre coming up for a shed, this is completely normal. becuase their eyes are clouded over, they cant see very much at all and this is why he is reluctant to move around.

his eyes should clear up in about a weeks time. either the following day, or the day after that, he should shed his skin.
