Baby corn bit me!

Hi there, I'm new to snakes, but my boyfriend and I have had 2 baby corn snakes for about a month and a half. The most time we've ever gone without handling them is 1 day.

They've never bitten us before - but we just relocated (houses) and after Rikko had been unmoved for about 6 hours, he was wandering around again so I picked him up.

He was a little squirmy, but they always are; however, he bit me in the mouth ! I'm not sure if this is because of the new stress and smells, I'm still not 100% comfortable if they seem 'unhappy'.. I won't pick them up.

Is he mad at me? Do I need to handle him more?

They eat sundays and its wed. I'd say Rikko is.. almost a foot long and we're feeding them 1 pinkie a week. Boyfriend says we'll feed him again tonight because he might have been hungry - but I'm pretty sure he was pissed =(

Please help, I do love my babies.

You said he bit you in the mouth.  Which leads me to think you put him near your face.  Now let's role play here: you pretend to be a very small animal which is suddenly picked up by a giant and moved towards its mouth....  What's gonna happen next?  Chances are, its gonna suck!  What do you do? You defend yourself.  

Kiss your boyfriend not your snakes.  Both will be happier (unless you have bad breath that is).
