Question
I have a female ball python who is about 3-4 years and barely reaching 2 feet. Is there a morph that would explain stunted growth? Vet gives a clean bill of health and she was living in a 75 gal tank.

Answer
Hi Elizabeth,

This is very odd. Normally female will be around four feet by that age.

Spider ball pythons do not grow to the full length of a normal, but they are very distinctive in coloration.

You may just have a dwarf. As long as she is healthy then you have nothing to worry about. If you can post a picture of her somewhere and give me the link to the site.
