QuestionHi Paul, I'm a little concerned as to wether my Cal. King snake is overweight we currently feed it one small fuzzy every seven days. It is about a year old, I want to say close to two feet long,it appears healthy, no problems shedding, is a voracious eater and is active, always climbing and trying to escape but it dose look like it's head is too small for it's body... which is a problem all our pets have. So I'm wondering if you tell me how often I should be feeding it? Thanks,
AnswerMy guess is that you are actually underfeeding your snake. The meal should be large enough to cause a noticeable bulge in the snake that dissipates in about 24 to 48 hours. I would guess that a fuzzy probably doesn't. Don't worry about overfeeding, snakes can handle a lot of food.
