Incredibly Hungry Rosy Boa

Question
I bought my Rosy Boa over a year ago from PetSmart and soon discovered that he really loves food.  He has never refused a feeding, and is currently fed one small mouse, once a week.
The problem is, he's still hungry.
If you have even the smallest scent of meat on you, he will attempt to attack you as if you were prey.  I know you should wash your hands before handling a snake, but it's to the point we have to use mouthwash too, in case the smell is on our breath, to prevent an attack.

I was told that it may be possible to give him an additional mouse during his feeding but I really need an another opinion.  Your help is much appreciated!

Answer
For a snake that size, the appropriate food size is one prey item (mouse or rat) equal to the biggest part of his body (girth) once a week. I think what is happening is that the snake is mistaking you for food. Meaning any time you get him out, he expects you to have food in your hands or sees your hands as food. Make sure you remove him from his enclosure and start feeding him with tongs, tweezers, or hemostats. Once you do this enough times, he will see the prey and your hand as different items.
