Red Tail Boa behavior

Question
I've owned a few red tails in my life but this one has me stumped. I recently went on vacation for 4 weeks and returned. I own a pair of red tail boas. Took both out when i got back, played with them and fed my male who is the larger of the two (About 4 feet, a little over 2 years old). My female, who is 14 months now, would not eat and has climbed up the side of the tank and has been looking up in a trance-like state for about 5 hours now. Ever experience anything like this before?

Answer
Kuande,
I have never experienced this behavior before. If I were you, I would check for a respiratory & make sure your husbandry is correct. Being that you have owned several boas, I am sure that it is. Give her a couple of days, continue to handle her, and try to feed again. You might try a supervised live feeding to "snap" her out of it.
