Sprayed or swimming

Question
QUESTION: My beardy is like my baby, I watch her carefully when she is in the tub swimming, when I spray her, feed her, clean her cage and even hold her. Lately she started acting funny about being sprayed or in water and the very sight of water. She flips on her side, lifts her head up and starts the doggy paddle. She even does a full under the water plung will put her head under the water turn every which way and hit her head more times then i can count. She loves swimming, and doesnt like it if she doesnt have a little deep end. Just past her shoulders and she knows that when shes tired I'm there with my handabove the water which she holds onto and then rests. She started this whole thing yesterday. Its starting to worry me but from what I've read no one thinks its serious, or has had my problem. She gets crickets, and dry food, lettice, and anything a dragon could want. She just got a new tank on monday, my friend says shes stressed and needs time to ajust to it. Please help, I love her and hope nothing serious is wrong with her. I have slight video of what she does when sprayed. At first it was funny and cute because when she wants to go swimming she does the child thing "Lifts her arms up as in saying pick me up lets go". I hope someone can answer my question about her.

ANSWER: Hello Carol,

Is she scared of the water now, or does she still like going swimming?
Does she walk normally when she is in her tank & running around, etc?
Do you use a UVB light, & if so, what type of light is it, a fluorescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?
Could she have gotten some water in her lungs somehow & is developing a respiratory infection?

Do you have a picture of her?

QUESTION: I will have to get a picture of her for you.  Shes not breathing weird or unusual, her walking and running in the cage is fine.  Shes got a 40 gallon tank with one light so I've been keeping a towl on her cage most of the day to keep heat in her cage.  Shes not scared of water, whenever I put her near water she jumps right into it and starts swimming. I have a reptile light for her, its 75 watt. She has a normal appetite, shes eating the same amount she usually does when she sheds (shes in her shedding mode and has been sense shes been in the new cage). I know she needs another light maybe two more for the size of the cage. But other then her not being warm enough in the cage I honestly am worried about her. I've given her warm baths before and she loves them. I've even gone from putting her into the tub to putting her in a container filling the bottom to where she likes it. But this for her is weird behavior.

If you need a picture of what she is actually doing I can get it for you, but I'm more concerned if it is something I did to her to make her do this. Her old skin is still on her and it has been for a few days, I don't know if shes trying to get it off anymore because she just walks around as if it doesn't bother her. She got rocks in her cage and a stump that was from a fish tank that I was years ago.

Answer
Hello Carol,

It doesn't sound like she has a respiratory issue though based on your description of her right now.  .
Are you using a UVB light?
If you can get a picture of her doing this behavior, that would be helpful.
It will take awhile for the skin to shed.  Sometimes they have some strange manners when they are shedding.
Is she off balanced at all when she is out & running around?  She could have gotten some water in her ears when she was sprayed?
Is she eating nomally?
