Very carefully, along with some planning.  :-))
Here is a site that I have referred to in the past for shipping a bearded dragon because it has a diagram of the box on their site & what you will need to purchase in order to pack him appropriately.

Are you moving & need to ship him?
I would also recommend calling your local UPS office to double check their requirements as well.  You will definitely need to clearly mark it LIVE ANIMAL on all sides of the box too.
Usually, UPS has a good reputation for shipping live animals, too.  You want to give him the best chance during shipping.
