Question
I'm trying to cool the 5 gallons of water in my 10 gallon tank for my pet. the water has to be lower than 70 but it is right now at 78F. how can i cool it without getting a chiller and with out adding ice. It is not near the window and it is out of the sun. it is in the coolest room in my house . and the lights are off. and a fan is not working earthier HELP??

Answer
Hello Crystal, do you mind me asking what this water is for? You could always remove the water then add cooler and filtered water. Or if you can not exchange it with new water you might want to try filling a Tupperware bowl (with a lid) with ice and then setting it inside. It will cool but without ice floating around. Or try putting ice in a ziploc bag and then in the tank. Let me know how things go or if none of these options work for what you need. Remember the more details the better answer I am able to give you.
