Question
I live in the midwest and it is starting to get cold.  I have noticed that my bearded dragon seems to be sluggish.  I try and keep his habitat hot but I fear it is not hot enough.  will he be alright or do I need more heat lamps?  Please advise cause I don't want him to die.

Answer
 Hi Tim,
I'm sure you have him in the house and If his basking spot is 100-105F during the day, measured with a digital thermometer, his days will be fine. A CHE, ceramic heat emitter on a thermostat at night will keep him warm enough without light, and the heat would come from above which is safer for him.  CHEs are available at petstores and online. www.reptileuv.com seems to have the best price.
