Humidity in our Leopard Geckos terrarium

22 14:31:02

Question
The humidity in our Leopard Gecko's terrarium has been at 70% lately.  Any ways to lower the humidity for him?  It doesn't seem to be bothering him right now, but over the next couple months we'll be getting into higher humidity.

Answer
Hi Claire
If you run a an a/c unit in your home you won't have to worry about high humidity in your Leos tank

If you do not use air conditioning then you can make sure that you are not using a substrate that will hold humidity in the entire tank and also make sure that the screen on the top of the tank is not covered with anything

Normally high humidity is not a problem in a screen topped tank unless it is 10 gals. or less in size and you see condensation running down the glass of the aquarium

I seldom use a humidity gauge on my Leos tanks and I live in IL where it is very humid

I hope that this hes helped
