lighting...wattage

on Sept.7th 2012, I will have a Mountain horn dragon lizard. i was wondering about the watts to use with them. please help me also so any other important information would be helpfull

Hello Kristina,

Congratulations, you will love having a mountain horned dragon.  They are beautiful!
You will need to set him in a tropical type of setting.  
The basking temperatures need to be around 85-90 or so for the hotspot with a coolhat er area around 78-82.
What sized tank are you planning on using?
The wattage of lights for basking will depend on the size of tank.  You will need to use a digital probe or a temp gun to measure the temperatures with.
Are you purchasing a UVB light?  The best ones are either the Reptisun 10 tube bulb or the Arcadia D3 12% tube bulb.  
The humidity should be around 79-80% for him.
