Question
my green water dragon has not been eating lately, but he/she finally ate something today :), but i need to know things like the different widths of the head or spike length of a 12 month old, i don't know the sex of it,and they typically don't eat during the egg process and how big do the water dragons area for laying eggs need to be? thanks...

Answer
Hello Bishop,

Great that your water dragon finally ate something today.
Do you have any pictures of your water dragon?
Is your dragon a year old then?  The females do not have very large spikes at all, compared to the males who have larger spikes down their backs, as well as femoral pores, too.
The female water dragons probably will not begin to lay eggs until they are close to 2 years.  Sometimes it can occur sooner but usually not.
