Question
ok i am a new begginger on beaded dragons i will get mine next week i am going to breed them.I am wondering can a sister and a brother bearded dragons breed?

Answer
Begginers shouldnt breed dragons do you know that you may have 50+ babies to feed/house/keepwarm and provide uvb lighting for? and that each baby will eat 20 crickets per day plus veggies...you must keep them until they are 6 weeks old or 6 inches long can you afford to feed them this amount or More until they are ready to go...also you need many many tanks for such a large number of babies they will bite tails/legs if they are crowded.

Yes brother and sister will breed but should they be bred? NO Bearded dragons already have a rather weak gene pool inbreeding makes this worse since if you breed brother sister and you sell to a petsotre or anyone really they end up with male/female and breed and the gene pool goes further down hill yet also yuor likely to experiance oddly shaped babies that die shortly after hatching if you inbreed. You shoul,d have several years experiance before thinking of breeding. The female must be 18 months old and 350 grams or more...smaller females must Not be bred and males must be at lest 8/9 months old or the same size as the female. The pair must live in different cages only for a week on and aweek off a week on again should they be together for the breeding season....or the male will overbredand stress the female bite her ect ect and make for unhealthy dragons...if you are knowingly buying a related male/female pair with intent on breeding don't instead get one or two females and you can but a male later on from a different source that is for Sure unrelated.
