Blue tongue skink questions

1. I have recently got a blue tongue skink, but the people that we got it from said it was a male, but it is a pergnant female well at least thats what they think is there any way to tell whether your skink is pregnant, and not just a fat female or male? 2. She is an adult but she does hiss if i try to touch her is it because she is pregnant or is she just mean? 3. She hasnt eaten any of the veggiees that i have given her is that because she is pregnant or just because she doesn't like them?

 There are several species of blue tongue, some lay eggs, some give birth to live young.  Without knowing the species, it would be your best bet to have her seen by a good reptile vet.  She will hiss either because she was not handled much by the previous owner, and you smell different, you are a stranger and a possible predator.  If she is full of young or eggs and near the time she would lay or give birth there would be no room in her body to fill with food.  Most skinks are insectivores and may be more interested in live prey.  Get her to the vet, who will answer the question of gravidness, and identification of species.
