Hello Pam!
Diane actually refered me to you. I have a wonderful male bearded dragon that's about 7 months old. I
purchased him from breeder and have been extremely careful to follow both their care sheets and my own personal research books in an effort to keep him happy and healthy (he's my first reptile so I've been extra careful). I supplement him once a week as per directions
and he's been running around in a 100 gallon tank, showing tons of energy. I use both UVB and UVA lighting none of which are within burning distance, and his basking spot is now 101 degrees F. In the past, he's shed his skin in large sections (such as all of his back at once) with no problem but the last shedding was only partial
and took an excessive amount of time (3+ weeks). I soaked him often in an effort to help out but this seemed to do little (Diane said I should add aloe vera for this, which I will). When he finally finished the new scales had
tiny bumps everywhere and some were a little smaller than others. I looked closer and found little bits of skin still stuck around some of the scales also (which unfortunatly don't show up in the image at all). He doesn't seem bothered by it but I am concerned. I have made a vet appointment for sunday and also applied Neosporin last night as per Diane's advice but I would like to know what you thoughts are on this. There doesn't appear to be a change from the Neosporin. I also attached an image. Thank you for your help, I REALLY appreciate it!

Answer
Hopefully the vet will scrape some of those "bumps" to find out what it is.  That would be a definitive result.  I'd be just guessing, frankly, I've not seen anything like that on any of my kids.
Flakey shed is usually a sign of needing more water.  I would soak his salad to get more water in him, as well as baths (if he drnks his bath water, all to the good.  Also diet can effect proper skin health as well, so I'd want to see what kind of ingredients are in his salad, and what you feed his bugs,
