Yellow Ackie monitor lizard

My son recently noticed that our four year old ackie is losing weight.  Someone
at the local shop suggested that he may have a parasite resulting from eating
small outdoor lizards (we live in south Florida).  May you suggest a course of
treatment?

Answer
 Get him to a good reptile vet for a check up and a fecal test.  The fecal test will show any parasites.  The vet will give you the proper treatment.  And you may have a giardia problem with them eating anoles outside.  They may have to have changes made to their habitat to prevent anoles from getting in.
