plated lizard

hi my name is xevier and i have a plated lizard that i truly love and care for but there not much i can do or know how to do do to the fact that he stops eating and he's changing from a very bright yellow to a brownish orange and how do i know if he is on the way of dyeing and what's a better feeding then only crickets and opines i cant get him to eat R-lettuce tomatoes very little. i'm not to shore if someone can help me please...

I have unfortunately never kept these lizards but I can give you some links to care sheets on them so that you can see if your lizard has the correct diet and housing
