Question
Hi there my bearded dragon has got to the stage that they need a new bigger vivarium and so i hav got a 5 ft custom one built. This leaves the previous 2 ft tank open, already set up with suitable conditions for a beardy but i was originally going to get a chinese waterdragon for it (makin the required alterations to the tank) but have now been interested in frilled dragons. I take it the 2 ft tank wood be too small for an adult as they are similar size to beardies but have been wondering if it wood be atall possible to have the frilly with my beardy in the 5ft tank as, i think the beardy is a female and i thought if i got a female frilly the same size, they should both have space. Could this work or wood they end up getting stressed or ill due to different bacteria? Cheers

Answer
A two foot tank is extremely temporary for a water dragon.  Think Iguana with a pool type enclosure.

Although a frilled dragon comes from Australia the same as beardies, reptiles are territorial, even females.  Putting two different speces in the same habitat is always a bad idea.
