advice for heat

Question
hello , just a quick question please.
I have a water dragon who is 2 years old.
I use a on / off heat bulb for daytime , and a heat mat for night time.
I was advised to use a ceramic heat bulb , that can be dimmed at night and turned up during the day.
Can you tell me what system is best please, because i am away during the week and my poor old mum gets confused with all the different plugs she has to un plug in the evening , i.e. my heat bulb and my uv bulb.

Answer
Sorry this response took so long.  My email is down...  Anyway, it really doesn't matter which combination you use as long the temperature and the UVB requirements are being met.  I perfer to use one bulb that does both.  But I live in Florida so it rarely gets cold enough at night to require added heat.  Timers can help with day vs. night but they can be expensive.  If you go ceramic you'll still need that UVB bulb so I don't really see what advantage the ceramic adds (unless you're trying to eliminate the heating pad).
