My savanna moniter isnt eating

Question
My savanna monitor isn't eating. She's 1 and a half years old and it's 95-100 degrees F in the cage. She eats crickets and large mice. She isn't pregnant. My mom says she looks bony and weak. Her skin was dry so my mom put oil on her. Then we put her in my bathtub full of water. Please help. I think you help me before I'm not sure.

Answer
Hi Tahj, she may have parasites which is common in Monitors because of the mice. Mice usually carry parasites which are then passed to your Monitor.

Parasites will cause her to stop eating and to make her rapidly lose weight.

I recommend finding a vet for proper medication and diagnosis of the type of parasite.

Bring with you in the vet 2-3 fresh samples of fecal matter in a ziploc type sealed sandwich bag.

What is your humidity kept at?
Cage size?
Substrate?

Good luck
