my beardie has a darker colour tail.

Hi my beardie is about 2 months old, I have had him for about 5 weeks.  A few days ago my beardie started shedding its head and body, since then it has not shedded and the colour of its tail is a dark brownand a bit grey and the head and body is a nice golden colour.  Could the colour of its tail be due to it needing to shed or could this be something more serious?  Thank you kelly

Tails usually are last to shed.  give him a nice shallow water pan during the day so he can sit in it and that should help the old skin loosen on the tail. Always take the pan out at night, babies sometimes try and sleep in it and you don't want him chilled.  The only othe reasons for a beardie tail to darken is if he has a black beard, the tail will darken as well, or if the tail was hurt bad, then he'd have to be checked by a vet.
