Utah desert frogs and lizards

Question
We have had a desert frog for about three years and has been doing quite well. We have recently rescued a desert basking lizard (I think) from our cat and seems to be recovering. Does the lizard need a separate habitat or can they co-exist together? They can feed on pretty much the same diet?  Thank-You so much for your time!!!

Answer
As a rule, species should never be mixed, even if they are from the same environment.  If these are native wildlife, you should contact the nearest herpetological society near you regarding keeping natives in captivity.  They can also tell you the specific species you have and give you detailed care information.  If Utah laws state you can't keep natives in captivity, the society can help you in releasing them properly.
