Our lizard has hard salt looking build up around it's nostrils, what can it be?

Since uros love digging it may be a mix of sand on his nostrils.  If you are using white tropical sand or a bagged reptile sand, these will clump if moistened.  Frankly, just in case, since uros wouldn't normally exude salt water from the nostrils like iguanas, it would have a vet check to rule out any possible URI.
