we took him to the vet today and she decided it was best if he was put down. It is sad that he had to go through this but it was best for him, he wasn't getting any better and we didn't want him to suffer. We only had him for about 2 months, the vet said he has had mbd for months before we had him. i know that i will never get another reptile or any other pet from a chain animal store like pet supplies plus. we got a hedgechog from them before we got cam that had wobbly hedchog syndrome and died 5 days after we got him. they wouldnt give us our money back so we had to get another pet. So we decided on a chameleon but come to find out it was just another pet with another disease from them. Thank for all of your advice you have given us we do appreciate it...take care!

Oh geez, I am very sorry to hear that.  I wondered if that was going to happen.  It isn't your fault though, as there is no way he got that debilitated in such a short period of time.  He must have been very poorly cared for before you got him.
The metabolic bone disease was very advanced, which took probably at least 4-6 months to get to that point, if not longer.  How old was he?
Unfortunately, a lot of pet stores simply do not care if they sell a sick animal to a consumer.  It is very sad for the animals & very sad for the new owners to have to go through loss shortly after bringing them home.
