a st range lizard for me

Question
We just moved to a developement in west Boca Raton Florida. I have live here for over 26 years and I have never seen a lizard like this. I wished i Had a phot to show you. I will be as descriptive as possible.

The lizard itself was a deep lime almost flourescent green. As you went down the body, there were no spines on the back, no portruding gills. It had stripes of a darker green running the length of the tail, guessing the tail itself was about 6 inches long from the hind legs, in the fashion similar to an iquana.

The head of the lizard was a diamond shape, similar to the shape of a boa or a bald python. It had large eyes similar to the size of an iguana and looking like a boa or a pythons eyes. The markings on the head were a yellowish green with black stripes starting from the eyes going down towards the front legs almost at a 30 degree angle.

I could not tell if there were scales, if there are, it is laid like a green iguana. The feet had suction cup looking nobs for toes, no claws. I did not see a tongue.

The overall length of this lizard was approximatelt 12 to 14 inches from tip of snout or nose to tip of tail.

It kind of looked like it was to be a cross between a python snake and an iguana with the makings of a juvenile alligator hatchling's face or a face of a box turtle.

If you have a clue, I would like to know for curiosity's sake and if this poses a danger to humans or animals.
It likes to hide in the bushes  by the mailboxes and sun in the road. It was seen crawling across my pool screens as well.

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Kristen,

well i think by your discription that it has to be in the house gecko catogory, there are so many species that i would need a pic to be sure, but with no claws but suction cup toes and the head shape and size it meets the criteria, if you have time you can google house gecko species and find lots n lots of pics and species break down,in the mean time ill keep looking for a visuel match in my books.

                  thanks for the question
