indo-pacific gecko in kitchen

Question
I seem to have an indo pacific gecko living in my kitchen. She has been there for several months now. She is very transparent and skinny. I have left things for her to eat such as fruit and water to drink. She is extremely fast.
I think she is lonely, because everytime I leave the syrup bottle out she runs to it and stares at it for a very long time. How can I fatten her up and should I cage her( if I can catch her) and get her a friend? Also any ideas to fatten her up?

Answer
Dear Shelby,
thank you for your question.
These geckos only eat insects, so you can offer her a bowl with mealworms or silkworms. Silkworms are usually sold dried as Koi food, she may not eat them because they don't move, but it's worth a try and they definitely won't invade your kitchen ;) I don't know what the  attraction of the syrup bottle is, maybe the colour of she is trying to stare down a rival.

They are not social and don't even search for partners because it's an all-female species. The females lay eggs without mating, they more or less clone themselves. I wouldn't cage her, she's a wild animal and should remain so.
I hope I was of some help to you
