My baby frilled fragon is sick :o(

Question
I bought a baby frilled dragon about 3 weeks ago. The 1 St day he ate about 9 crickets and threw up because he was running around the tank. I guess he didn't know when to stop since I threw a bunch in. After that, I noticed he hardly eats any crickets. He's in a 15 gallon, bedding is cypress wood chips(the store from the convention where I got him from recommending me to change the bedding to this), the heating lamp is 75, the UV bulb is the one that costs $50, can't remember the brand. The temp in the day is 90 and in the evening is 80. There is a nice size water dish where he goes into. I give him water 2-3 times a day and he seems to drink it. I mist him 2-3 times a day as well. I feel he seems weak or lazy to hunt the crickets. I do not know what else to do. The store where I got the frill from is trying to be helpful as I speak to him a couple of times already. He is probably 2 months now if that. He's the size of my pinky-not including tail. Meanwhile, I have a baby bearded dragon I got in Feb this year about the same size of my baby frill, and he is the opposite where he can eat all day...I don't understand what is wrong.

Answer
Hi Anna
I have never kept these lizards but the look very interesting
Here is a care sheet for them that looks to have some decent information on them

http://www.sundialreptile.com/care%20sheet-frilled.htm

From what I have read on it(I get to learn alot about different lizards that i do not keep by doing research for these questions) your set up sound correct

The only thing that I would suggest is that you move him to at least a 30 gallon tank so that you can get a decent heat gradient in the tank
If the heat bulb is 75 watts(I was not clear if that is what you meant) I am guessing that the overall air temperature of that small of a tank is way too hot for him

If you do not have a digital thermometer with a probe on the end of it(you can buy them at most discount stores as indoor/outdoor thermometers) please get one and that will give you a more accurate reading of exactly what the temp is

I Know that the lizard is tiny but when you are trying to provide a heat gradient in a tank -you need at least a 20 gal long and even that can be too small when you are using spot basking lamps

Please check the temps asap as I am really afraid that you might be cooking him in that size of a tank with a spot heat lamp on it

Please write back in if I am wrong on the tank temps and we will try and figure out what else might be going on
