A guinea pig

Question
My friend got two guinea pigs and she was told that they were both females.  But then the next few days they had two babies.  She asked if I wanted to have one and... well I have a three year old female guinea pig.  Would I be able to get them used to eachother?  Is there anyhthing I can do?

Also is it normal for guinea pigs to have a little bit of crust around their eyes sometimes?

thank you

Answer
Two females are your best bet. Be patient, take it slowly, and I suggest either dividing the cage you have in half, or buying another and placing it next to the old one. I suggest you try and give both a bath in the same smelling soap, and clean out the cage with hot water and vinegar. A little bit of crust around the eyes is normal unless your pig's eye is oozing out tears or if the eye looks infected or like something is in it.
