squeky guinea pig

hi,my guinea pig blaze wont stop squeking.he stops when i put him down in his cage or on the ground but when i pick him up he starts squeking again,is this  normal.thanks

He is probably very scared, always make sure you support his butt and behind his legs when picking him up, and as soon as possible place him on solid ground, or somewhere where his feet touch a solid surface, guinea pigs sometimes think a predator is trying to eat them when picked up improperly. When he is on your lap offer him lots of veggies, fruit and hay and pet him gently. He should get used to being held eventually, it just takes time.
