hi i whould like to teach my guinea pigs some tricks what trick can i teach them and how please tell me or just tell me some good websites for tricks fror guinea pigs

Answer
Kathleen,

My own guinea pigs know only a few tricks but they are very handy tricks. First one is coming when called, this is the easiest one for guinea pigs to learn. Start by putting them on the floor one at a time and in an area where you can easily get to them. Then get a treat, like some fruit or vegetable that they love and hold it out in front of them, once they start walking to it start to slowly pull it back calling their names, keep doing that every day until you can call them to come with out food. Very handy when retrieving them off the floor. Second one is, what I call playing baby. This one is a little more difficult to learn. First thing you need to do is hold the guinea pig for awhile so they are relaxed, then gradually turn them over onto their back in the crook of your other arm, only a little at a time to get them use to it. After a time you should be able to just say play baby and turn them over, which is handy during baths and washing the tummy. Third one is not as difficult to learn and they pick it up pretty fast. All your doing is training them to two different sounds, one for dinner when you give them there fresh food, and the other for when they are chewing on something that is bad for them. Mine are trained to a whistle and the word bad for when they are chewing on the bars, paper, plastic, wire or whatever, it stops them long enough for me to get over there and remove them. To train them this is fairly easy, when every you notice them chewing on something bad just start walking towards them slowly and whistle or whatever noise you choose to use and say no, keep doing that till you reach them and remove them or the problem they are chewing on. In about 2 weeks they will know when they hear that noise to stop and wait for you to get to them. Sometimes you'll need to keep doing it as they can be stubborn at times. Training for the noise at dinner is the easiest one of all, as it only take maybe 3 days for them to catch on. I make a clucking noise for mine, but you can choose whatever, just use that as you are bring them dinner and continue to do so until you give them their dinner. After three days you can make the noise before you get them dinner and they will come out of hiding and wait for you, do it again when you have dinner and they will wait in one spot while you give them dinner.
Those are the only tricks I know, you could Google Guinea pig tricks and you should pull up a few sites with ways to train them.
Good luck to you and have fun training them.
